Neuroplasticity – Incredible Mental Faculty

neuroplasticityDo you often think, “I cannot do this, I am born this way”? And is this thinking keeping your from dreaming big?

Anything is possible by dreaming, proper planning, and willpower to execute it.

In fact, early researchers believed that the creation of new neurons in our brain stopped shortly after birth. Today, it is understood that the brain possesses the remarkable capacity to reorganize pathways, create new connections and, in some cases, even create new neurons. What that means is, your brain has the ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections throughout life. This phenomenon, known as neuroplasticity, allows the neurons (nerve cells) in the brain to compensate for injury and disease and to adjust their activities in response to new situations or to changes in their environment.

So the more you focus and practice something the better you become at the new skill that you are learning or an obstacle you are trying to overcome. By doing this new neural connections are created in the brain as synapses, which help you to sharpen your new skill. The key is to find the proper way to do things, and learn or upgrade your skills.

So, don’t have any inhibition, or feel limited by lack of skill. Believe in incredible mental faculty, and start dreaming big and move towards your goal!!
