Applied Knowledge with Self-discipline Equals Power

Self discipline and knowledgeSelf-Discipline has many advantages; it makes you feel better about yourself. Even simple disciplines such as drinking water first thing in the morning can create incredible effect on your attitude.

Knowledge is not power. Knowledge is only potential power. It is the application of knowledge with self-discipline that is the key to success in your life. It does not matter how much you know, it is what you do with what you know is the key. Lot of people attend seminars to seminars, some read book after book or listen to audio after audio. Those who succeed in life apply what they learn. You must learn to apply what you’ve learned. Once you applied your knowledge, you must watch the result and fine tune approach.

By trying, observing and fine tuning you will attain perfection in what you do. Follow this cycle until we reach mastery in what you do. If you follow this process, you’ll reap rewards of all the benefit this process offers. In order for this process to work, you must master the art of consistent self-discipline.

Your mind plays all type of tricks not to do activities needed to be successful in life. You can reach your fullest potential by following self-discipline to be successful in your life. It takes self-discipline to accept your mistakes and acknowledge your limitations. Your inner voice exaggerates your values and results beyond the actuals. So it takes self-discipline to be honest with yourself and others.

It takes self-discipline to form new habits. Begin a new habit, no matter how small it is. Size of the habit is not that important. The key is to stay with it long enough until it becomes a habit that you can do this with less effort.

Once the habit is formed it is very hard to change. Also we can change bad habits carefully using self-discipline slowly and steadily. You need to take consistent application of the new discipline to overcome the bad habits we formed over years. You need to have some quiet time to understand distractions that are stopping you to go from point A to point B. Apply consistent self-discipline to substitute a bad habit with a new habit to succeed in your life.

Change Your Paradigms

Change your paradigmThoughts are things, just like a chair you sit, bed you sleep or the car you drive. We generally don’t give that much importance thoughts, but they are extremely important, as they impact your life.

You can think your way into a great life. Your thinking and results can be controlled by your paradigms. Paradigms are your mindsets, Ideas and the habits that you developed over the years. Paradigm is the “operating system” on which your mental processes run. Continue reading

The Law OF Cause And Effect

“Shallow men believe in luck or in circumstance. Strong men believe in cause and effect.”

― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Law of cause and effectYou need to gain an understanding of the law of cause and effect in order to get better. The law of cause and effect states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Our results are an effect. The cause is our action. In other words, you are going to get back what you put out.

We live in the world of instant gratification. We need to move from instant gratification to delayed gratification. Develop a long term perspective to leave a legacy for ourselves. Continue reading
